the boldness of death
begins to seep within me
where the ashes of angels
have been known to bleed
your thoughts I have tasted
and are tasteless
like the torment you breathe
into the air of heaven
our city
and the heart of all our dreams
where demons are defeated
with the fluttering of eyelids
or the turning of a cheek
through of all this
the beauty of the machine
is never lost
within our screams
